Who uses the app?
The Verendus app for mechanics is used by employees of our customer organizations (e.g., workshop mechanics) who already have an account with Verendus. Access to the app is authenticated using usernames and passwords issued under our existing agreements with our customers.
What personal data is processed?
The app primarily collects and processes the following types of data:
- Uploaded files, images or notes (e.g., service records, vehicle photos)
- User interactions and behavioral data (via analytics tools)
- Metadata from device interactions to ensure functionality and security
No new account-related personal data (e.g., name, contact information) is collected through the app, as this data is already managed under the customer’s existing Verendus account.
Why we process your data
We process data in the Verendus Workshop App for the following purposes:
- App functionality: Ensuring features work as intended.
- Service improvement: Analyzing user behavior using Pendo to improve user experience and optimize workflows.
- Security: Ensuring secure login and usage through controlled access systems.
Legal basis
Our processing of your data is based on our legitimate interest in fulfilling contractual obligations with our customers and providing a functioning and secure service, as well as on our legal obligation to comply with applicable legislation, including GDPR.
Third-party services
We work with trusted third-party service providers who may process data on our behalf:
- Google - Hosting and cloud infrastructure (within the EU)
- Pendo - In-app analytics and product usage insights
- Mailchimp - Communication tools used by Verendus, not directly accessed through the app
All third-party services are selected based on their compliance with GDPR and relevant security certifications.
Data storage and transfers
All data is stored securely within the EU through Google Cloud services. We do not transfer personal data outside the EU unless explicitly agreed upon and with adequate safeguards in place.
Your rights
As a user, you have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data
- Request correction or deletion of inaccurate or unnecessary data
- Object to processing or request limitation under certain circumstances
- Lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY)
